The more Buhari oppresses the Igbos, the more they thrive – Ex presidential aide
The Federal Government on Friday threatened to shut down the Enugu airport over poor positioning of the market and state broadcast mast, which according to it, is obstructing safe flight operations.
The Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika said that the poor state of infrastructure at the airport, in addition to the citing of a free trade zone at the end of the runway, as well as an abattoir close to the airport, among other obstacles, necessitated the decision.
However in reaction to the threat by FG to shut down the airport, Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide has described the move as malicious.
The former aide said that the federal government has not considered shutting down the airports in Yola, Adamawa state or Borno but threatens to shit down the only international airport in the Southeast.
Speaking via Twitter on Saturday, Omokri wrote:
You have not shut down Borno or Yola Airports, even though terrorists are operating nearby. But it is the ONLY international airport in the SE that you want to shut down for ‘security reasons’. The more @MBuhari OPPRESSES the Igbo, the more they‘ll THRIVE #IgboaBlessingToNigeria
