Meghan Markle Rumoured To Not Dress Baby In Traditional Royal Fashion – More “Amal Clooney” Than “Kate”
In case you’ve been living under a rock; BABY SUSSEX HAS ARRIVED!
Meghan Markle has given birth to a little baby boy! The tiny prince is yet to be revealed to the world (understandable! Mum wants a break and a newborn baby wants sleep and milk, not paparazzi!) but that hasn’t stopped speculation as to what exactly baby Sussex’s life will look like…
As a Prince expectations will be sky-high for the baby boy. Fortunately, his royal cousins, Geroge, Charlotte and Louis will be on hand to sympathize with the challenges of royal life, they’ll get everything he’s going through!

However, baby Sussex might be a little bit different from the Cambridge kids…
You’ll notice the trio of toddlers are always impeccably dressed (it helps to have a royal sized wallet…) in fairly traditional clothes. The royal family are known for being neutral on most things and quintessentially British in all things, fashion is no exception!
But according to a source familiar with the Royals, Meghan isn’t planning on dressing baby Sussex in the timeless, more formal threads that Kate and William opted for…

Sarah Dixon, former maternity nurse and close with friends of the royal told People;
“I really don’t think this baby will be dressed in smocking and knee-high socks the way Kate [Middleton]’s children have been. I think she will be a very modern parent and will probably take more guidance from friends such as Amal Clooney than she will from Kate.”
Let’s face it, Amal Clooney is one freakin’ amazing fashionista. Baby Sussex is a royal, so it makes sense to take style tips for this queen of the catwalk…
If a gal can upstage George Clooney take her advice on what to wear!
Dixon continued,
“Meghan has a very individual style, and she will incorporate that when she’s shopping for her baby. I think she will stick to some of her U.S. brands, like Petit Tresor in Los Angeles. And I’m sure she will use Honest, the eco-brand founded by Jessica Alba So many of my clients just love it.”

The picture above proves just how cute “Honest’s ” clothing is! Look at that little avocado diaper!!! Baby Sussex would love that! It would be great for Meghan to use eco-friendly brands when dressing her baby, her influence would absolutely encourage others to buy from sustainable brands!
And let’s not forget, Meghan herself is quite the snappy dresser! So it’s no surprise Dixon confirmed she’s likely to add her own influence to Baby Sussex’s wardrobe;
“She will want to incorporate her own style and her love of all things eco when it comes to clothing for the baby, and she will go for organic cotton for her layette I’m sure”

This woman somehow looks a million dollars when covered in a million bird stencils, I think baby Sussex is in good hands!
Meghan has been applauded for her eco-conscious fashion choices in the past. For example, wearing ethical denim brand “Outland Denim” on her tour of Australia she helped boost sales by a whopping 640%! This allowed the founder to hire 46 further seamstresses who had been victims of sex trafficking or forced labor.
Who knew a pair of jeans could do so much good?!

Whilst some are a little concerned that Markle will be bringing too much Hollywood to the royal household I think it’s freakin’ great that she’s encouraging the use of ethical, sustainable clothes!
Sure, we love seeing our Princes and Princesses dressed up in classic, British fashion!
They look absolutely adorable in it! But when we have George, Charlotte and Louis to make our hearts burst with old-school looks, why shouldn’t baby Sussex lead the way with on-trend, eco-friendly clothes?? Especially when Harry and Meghan both care so much for the environment?
Do you think Meghan will break royal tradition by dressing baby Sussex in contemporary fashion? Or will the timeless, classic royal look win her over? Let me know in the comments! AAx
