Russian Model Says That It’s A “Lonely” Life Being A Real-Life Barbie Doll

She’s dedicated her life to looking like the famous doll

It’s often how the Barbie doll has, over the years, been the idealized body type for women. Many people see this as a problem, due to how ‘unrealistic’ her body shape is.

It’s an issue that has even led to boycotts over the last few years. However, given that she is considered the ideal, it’s perhaps not suprising that a few young women out there go completely the opposite way, and dedicate their lives to looking like Barbie.

Above is Tatiana ‘Tanya’ Tuzova, who owns a collection of 1,520 Barbie dolls worth around £120,000 ($156k), wants to change her family name to ‘Barbie’, and dresses only in pink. You can’t say she’s not commited.

However, as the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for. Tanya says that being Barbie is in fact a very lonely life.

Admitting that she’s lonely, the five-times married Russian Barbie said: “I don’t have friends. I have no time to be friends. I like being alone, no-one interferes my thoughts, I like my world. I have a husband, he is my best friend.”

The Russian Barbie’s entire life revolves around her chosen lifestyle, as she pointed out: “I work, record songs, do gigs, receive awards, produce clothes for children and grown-up girls, and rent out a photo studio,” – but it is all Barbie related.

“All of my everyday clothes are pink. I don’t get tired of pink, it has lots of shades.” Well, she has a point there.

She admits to having had a boob job to enlarge her breasts after giving birth to her son, Zhenya, who is now 11.

“I enlarged my breasts. It was awful after pregnancy and I had to have it fixed,” she said in an interview.

Her husband – who she says is ‘already my fifth’ – is a medical professional, but she declined to name him.

“We met at his work and then I conquered him with my karaoke voice. Now he makes me Barbie-style presents, recently it was a pink Mini Cabrio.” Sounds like a fun marriage!

She became a ‘full-time Barbie’ after she wanted to become a nursery school teacher, but could not live on the monthly salary of £71 ($92) plus £22 ($28) for also working as a cleaner. To be fair, that is a terrible wage. Don’t get me started on how underpaid teacher are!

She explained: “It was too sad to imagine my beautiful self cleaning floors. Barbie is [not my job it is] a lifestyle.

“When I am insulted on the internet, I tell people: ‘I don’t drink or smoke or swear. I instill a healthy lifestyle to children’.”

Sadly, she claims people don’t see this inner beauty. “They are not interested how many kind and good things I’ve done. They have to know my age, how many times I was married, what surgeries I had, and the color of my underwear.”

Still, when all is said and done, this is the life she chose, and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“The most important thing is to have your individuality,” she said, whilst looking exactly like Barbie. “Everyone is the same now. But it is hard to copy me (…) I’ve been working on my style for many years and invested a lot of money into it.”

It takes all sorts, I suppose!AAx
