Genius Cuddly Toy Company Brings Children’s Drawings To Life And Recreates Photos Of Lost Loved Ones

A new company ‘Budsies’ has taken up the adorable task of turning kid’s fantastical drawings into cuddly realities so that they can be enjoyed by their young creators! And trust me, by the end of this article you’ll be grabbing your crayons and ordering one…

The idea for what would eventually become Budsies first began when founder Alex Furmansky saw his little sister playing with her stuffed toys and wondered how he could go about turning her own drawings into physical stuffed toys for her to play with – an idea which I’m quite frankly just annoyed that I didn’t come up with, both because it’s adorable and very successful, a potent combination!

Above is Founder Alex (left), his sister Michelle (center), and the first Budsie ever made ‘Dongler’ (right – yeah I tagged the stuffed animal, what of it, have a heart) – Dongler has since become something of a mascot for the company.

With the creation of Budsies the kitchen fridge is no longer the pinnacle accolade that a child’s artwork can achieve! Now, fully fledged spiritual and physical nirvana is the peak honor that kid’s fantastical doodles can aspire to! And Budsies are loving sharing some of the wonderful drawings that they’ve had the chance to bring to life, from the amazingly mad…

The fact that kids can now bring their imaginative creations to life allows them to have something that is unique to them, something as a physical reminder of their potential for creativity! What’s not to love about that!

However, it’s not just kids who are having all of the fun. People have been taking to the Buddies website in order to get presents for grown-up loved ones and companies are even using the website to bring their mascots to life.

This father (above, left) received the surprise gift of a stuffed toy made from a drawing that his son drew when his son was only 6 after he had just learned about the colors of the rainbow – his son is now 19. I mean, if that doesn’t warm your heart then you need help!

The company will even turn your selfies into stuffed toys, check out this one made for a couple after a selfie taken on their trip to Paris…

However, these toys aren’t just for a bit of frivolous fun, some people have even used them to recreate loved ones who have sadly passed on. In a truly emotional blog post on the Budsies blog, one post detailed how Vanessa McCann turned one of her husband’s selfies into two dolls so that ‘her children could hold their father, who suddenly passed away nearly two years prior.’

As heartbreaking as the post can be seen to be, the idea of being able to give a child such a personal reminder of those lost is genuinely touching. It is also a testament to the work that the company is doing, something so wonderful has come out of their work.

So, if you haven’t already dived to the website to order one of these fantastic, personal products, post some photos of your own childhood doodles that you’d like to be able to see in full reality-coated glory! Now, excuse me while I find my crayons… AAx
