BREAKING NEWS: Prosecutors Likely To Recommend Lori Loughlin & Felicity Huffman Serve Jail Time

Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman court drama continues as prosecutors demand the two serve prison time.

In case you didn’t know Loughlin and Felicity Huffman are in big trouble following accusations of fraud. Lori and her husband stand accused of paying $500,000 to ensure their daughters were admitted into USC, claiming their daughters would participate in the crew team (despite the girls not playing the sport)…

Whereas Felicity has been accused of paying $15,000 to rig her daughter’s SAT test results.

Felicity and Lori are not alone in their crimes, as many as 50 people have been charged in the alleged scams and more indictments are to be expected. If the pair are found guilty of the crimes they are accused of they could face up to 5 years in prison each, for mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.

TMZ reports that although it is likely plea bargain discussions will begin there is no confirmation that a plea deal has been agreed upon. 

TMZ spoke to a federal law enforcement source who confirmed any plea would almost certainly come with the recommendation from prosecutors that Loughlin and Huffman serve jail time. The enforcement official spoke out;

“You can’t have people being treated differently because they have money. That’s how we got to this place. Every defendant will be treated the same.”

If the cases are plea bargained the final decision will not lie with prosecutors. Though the U.S. Attorney may make recommendations to the judge, the judge ultimately makes the final decision. Loughlin and Huffman’s fates ultimately rest with him.

We don’t know how likely it is that justice will be served given all the freakin’ corruption in the courts and their well-documented leniency towards celebrities. You can’t always assume a fair sentence will be served!

Or maybe we’re looking at this the wrong way?? Surely, as parents, we can sympathize with the desire to see your children succeed?? If we had that kind of money (we sure as heck don’t!) would we be trying a similar stunt?? We can’t say for sure…

One thing is for certain, celebrities shouldn’t be dealt with any differently to the rest of us, especially when it comes to law enforcement. Though it may be unfair to set celebrities on a pedestal (they are just humans after all!) we shouldn’t expect them to be any more or less susceptible to the law than “ordinary” folk. We can only hope that justice will be served! AAx
