20 Tweets That Only People With Siblings Will Understand
Having siblings brings so many wonderful and traumatic memories into your life. Yes, we love our siblings but they also are the worst people ever because they know EXACTLY how to wind you up.
Whether it’s annoying each other on purpose or just flat-out hating one another for no reason, siblings definitely bring a whirlwind of emotions and memories.
When reminiscing about your childhood, it’s hard not to smile at all of the ridiculous arguments and adventures you got up to with your siblings. Enjoy some very real depictions of sibling life…
1.) Such pleasant childhood memories
Sibling rivalry reaches levels that most people without siblings wouldn’t believe. I haven’t quite experienced this one before but my sister did once say that she had a real gun and was going to kill me…I believed her…siblings can be pretty mean to one another.
2.) Siblings love playing mind games
Sibling relationships mainly consist of torturous mind games that drive one another crazy. The classic “I’m not in your room” was definitely a recurring theme in all of our childhoods. It would be so annoying because they weren’t in your room but they WON’T LEAVE the doorway!
3.) We were all great actors
If you can get your mom to punish your sibling for anything, you 100% will. It’s absolute gold dust when they hit you while she’s around, cue award-winning acting skills and your sibling will be told off in no time.
4.) Why else would your sibling want you near them?
Okay, these sibling relationships are starting to sound a lot more abusive than they really are. We only hit each other on occasion but it is very suspicious when a sibling asks you to come near them…
5.) Karma will always find you
Any favour asked by one sibling to another will never be fulfilled if you have ever wronged each other in any way AT ALL. If you have, this wrongdoing will 100% mean that said favour will not be carried out.
6.) You don’t know true anger until you have a sibling
Every sibling has this weird ability to trigger their other siblings in ways that no one else ever will be able to. We can be the most patient and kind people in the world but when it comes to our siblings, we are all the WORST.
7.) Life isn’t fair
As the dreaded younger sibling, I can definitely attest to this. I have been allowed to do basically what I want, whilst my older siblings were kept on a tight leash. What can do you? It’s not MY fault what order we were born in!
8.) Younger siblings are just better
I think we can all agree that younger siblings are obviously the best siblings, we are usually taller too! Maybe people are just getting taller in general as the generations go on…
9.) Sibling priorities
This is actually so true. It’s like we will do anything to inconvenience our sibling’s lives but if it came to saving their life, we would be the first in line. Makes sense…kind of.
10.) Who didn’t do this?!
I actually feel sorry for people who never got to do this with their siblings. I think we are all semi-pro wrestlers now and we don’t even know it.
11.) Too much responsibility
I do feel bad for the older sibling sometimes, they do have a lot more responsibility to set a good example for the rest of us. They are also expected to babysit all the time. That would make me pretty mean too…
12.) Probably
Yes, I am the youngest sibling but I am fully aware of just how annoying I am, in fact, I’m actually quite proud of it.
13.) How fights should be
You can argue with your sibling about anything and you can guarantee that in a few hours or even minutes, you’ll be getting food together and practising your WWE moves again.
14.) Sibling fights are intense
When it comes to sibling fights, however, they can reach new levels of violence. You could literally break your arm your sibling will be like, “I barely touched her!”
15.) And that’s the price of family
Yeah, if I could get free food for slapping my sibling I would 100% do it without thinking. No, that doesn’t make me a bad person, I wouldn’t hit them hard.
16.) Free entertainment
Whenever you got bored as a kid, the first port of call was to go and see how long you could annoy your sibling for. It provides endless hours of entertainment and definitely strengthens your relationship (not really).
17.) Love and dislike are the same
No one really likes their siblings because they are just too annoying. We still love them until the end of the world though and would do anything for them. That’s beside the point though.
18.) Siblings don’t do nice things
I’m not sure what universe those two siblings live in but I would never buy my sibling a car, if I had the money to, I would buy myself a car! Siblings prefer to shoot each other down and tell each other to stop talking when they aren’t. I am much more comfortable with that reality.
19.) They must have so much anger in their hearts
People with no siblings must have so much hate in their hearts. People with siblings can at least release the hate by endlessly irritating their siblings when they get the urge. I feel sorry for people that don’t have this option.
20.) Being a sibling is for life
This is so amazing! I really hope me and my siblings are still begging each other not to tell mom when we are in our 50s. Being a sibling means putting up with each other for life.
Having a sibling is great most of the time but these hilarious memories are just as special as the pleasant ones. Did you relate to this? Tag your sibling in the comments! AAx
