Rami Malek Is In “Final Negotiations” To Join The World Of 007
Rami Malek, have you heard of him? Of course you have! And if you haven’t, have you been living under a freakin’ rock!?
Okay, so just in case you haven’t heard of this adorable creature, he’s the guy who’s just won an Academy Award for his role in the incredible Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody (and FYI, he played Freddy Mercury). And as it turns out, he doesn’t plan on stopping there – rumor has it he’s already gunning for his next iconic role.
According to mysterious sources who have gone to tell Collider, the 37-year-old close-to-be superstar is currently in the “final negotiation’ stage for him to become the next great bond villain in the currently untitled 25th James Bond film.
Okay, so you may be thinking this isn’t really new news; it has actually been reported before that Malek’s name was in the hat for the role… however after it was thought there’d be a considerate conflict between the schedule for his TV series Mr. Robot and Bond 25 so his name was placed quite far down the list.

However, Collider has added that Malek’s team has funnily enough now made the schedule work, which lucky for us, will pave the way for him to assume the villainous role.
Let’s be honest… if you were a movie boss, you would probably be moving moons and mountains in order to get the Best Actor Oscar recipient on board wouldn’t you!?

Back in December of 2019, popular UK betting shop Ladbrokes put Rami Malek as the 3/1 favorite to become the next Bond villain, and I gotta tell you, I freakin’ like those odds! More Malek for me, please!
Unsurprisingly, Malek also has the voice of thousands behind him supporting him, if the comments being thrown around online daily are anything to go by:
One person tweeted: “110% down for Rami Malek as a Bond villain.”
Another commented: “Rami Malek is rumored to be up for a Bond villain role Yes please!”
…you get the idea.
Either way, whoever does actually end up playing the villain, one that is FOR SURE is that Daniel Craig will be returning as Bond 25. He shall also be joined by Lea Seydoux who will play psychologist Madeleine Swann, Naomie Harris who shall be playing as Moneypenny, Ben Whishaw who shall be playing Q and the wonderful Ralph Fiennes who’ll be in the role of M.
There are still two roles yet to be filled, however. Movie bosses are still searching for two actresses to fill one role as an M16 agent and another to fill the role of an ‘accomplice’ to Olga Kurylenko’s character from Quantum of Solace.
Of course, there’s still the big question on everyone’s mind; who the HECK will be the next 007 after Bond 25 wraps up?
If you’re as big a Bond fan as I am, you’ll know that there have already been plenty of names thrown into the 007 hat already. They include (but are not limited to):
- Tom Hardy
- Idris Elba
- Tom Hardy
- Tom Hiddleston
- Henry Cavill
- Nicholas Hoult
- Richard Madden (The Bodyguard)
- James Norton (Happy Valley)
So honestly, it looks like whoever they end up choosing, we’ll be in good, good hands with. Not to mention, there’s still plenty of time to add a couple more hundred names to that list.
Anyway, I want to know what YOU think! Are you happy with the choice? Have you fallen as madly in love with Rami as everyone else in the world seems to? Let me know in the comments! And don’t forget to share this with all those other Bond (or Rami) fans out there! x
