This one is for all those animal lovers out there (and hopefully, that’s most of you!). We all love taking a trip to the zoo to see what our favorite animals get up to during the day… but what exactly do they get up to during the night when nobody is watching?

Well, unsurprisingly, when animals know nobody is watching them, they tend to get a bit more… wild. How do we know this? Common sense, mostly. But also, thanks to those sneakily hidden cameras placed on tails and installed in the woods by wildlife photographers, hunters or observers alike, we’re shown a whole new world of animal behavior… and it’s HILARIOUS.

1) Run (in the) Forest, run!

This deer has had the exact reaction I would if I suddenly saw a flying squirrel careening towards me in the middle of the night… RUN FOR MY LIFE. Sporting a look of utter terror and fear. (To be fair, that IS one creepy lookin’ squirrel).

2) Midnight smooches

This one is SO CUTE. Just goes to show that even animals, no matter how wild, enjoy a little lovin’ from time to time too!

3) Caught in the act.

One day, this particular trail camera stopped working all of a sudden, and it’s own had no idea why. Well, now they do. This was the last image the camera took, which shows the culprit caught out in the act! What an adorable little vandal.

4) Teamwork makes the dream work!

Nothing to see here folks, just a couple of highly organized, sneaky raccoons working together in order to reach a feeder they couldn’t get to on their own! Little did they know they were being watched the whole time. We got you, boys!

5) Action shot.

I’ve never seen a picture with more perfect timing! You can almost visualize what happened the exact second after this photograph was taken. Either this owl’s eyes are (a million times bigger) than it’s belly or it’s wildly overconfident. Either way, I bet that deer got a nasty surprise!

Who knew animals knew how to photobomb too? Well, now we definitely do! And I’ve honestly never seen a cuter photobomber than this cheeky raccoon. Hilarious!

Raccoons are well known for being some of the more mischevious members of the animal kingdom, and with all these secret images we definitely know why! I mean, check out these guys who have gotten together to throw a small (and adorable) party in the dark!

Are these guys kittens? Nope, just teeny tiny baby foxes. Looks like it might be playtime for the babies and rest time for the Momma! Much deserved with a litter this big.

It doesn’t matter what species you are when you’re a baby (or in this case, a cub!) your Momma will always be there to give you a helping hand when you need it. I’m so glad this touching moment was caught on camera for all to see!

Did you know that sometimes when nobody is watching, some animals like to pretend they’re actually human beings? No? Well, now you do! Just look at what a great job this deer is doing of it! She’s obviously been practicing.

11) Yoga-Bear

There’s nothing better than starting your day off with a good-ole morning stretch… and nobody knows that better than list little fella right here! Rise and shine everybody!

12) Timon and Pumbaa… almost.

It can be tiring walking around on your own four feet all day, so this crafty raccoon has come up with a brilliant way of getting around that… commandeering a ride on an even bigger animal! What? He was going that way anyway!

13) So stylish

This motion-activated camera took a surprising image of a deer who passed by early hours of the morning… just look at that do! He was probably making his way home from a fabulous party with his nearest and deer-est (sorry, not sorry).

14) Feeding time.

“This fox has 8 kits and I got this trail cam pic of them nursing in front of the den site,” the photographer of this amazing image wrote. This picture is so adorable I can’t stand it… and that poor Momma fox looks like she’s asleep standing up! Nobody said motherhood was easy…

This image looks like it’s the beginning of a very intense battle of honor! I can’t help but get a very “Rocky vs Creed” vibe from this… my money is on the guy on the right!

The owner of this camera set it up on a well know hunting ground area where coyotes are known to reside… obviously they didn’t a good enough job of hiding it though!

This camera caught the exact moment a bunny decided to jump right into this barrel… although I can’t help but wonder if he was shortly followed by a young girl with blonde hair named Alice!?

18) Making it rain

If you haven’t already guessed by now, raccoons are huge team players. This furry little guy decided he would help his fellow comrades out by taking one for the team and climbing up onto the food sprinkler to release all the goodies inside of it for everybody! 10/10 for good sportsmanship!

Is this a tiger? A panther? Or just a botched job at some handy camouflage? Either way, it seems that this Indian Tiger has had a busy day of rolling around in the mud! One thing is for sure, the look definitely makes for a striking image!

20) WHOOPSIE

This guy was certainly ready for his close up! Sometimes these cameras are so well hidden they can’t help but be bumped into by various wild animals from time to time. They certainly make for hilarious pictures, though!
