17 Of The Most Hilarious “Mom” Texts Moms Have Ever Sent Their Kids

Mom’s are amazing. They’re the first ever people we bond within our life, the first voice we hear, the first person we’re held by and they’re our first ever best friends.

Literally from the moment we are born, to their last day on this Earth, a mother will never stop caring and looking out for her offspring, across any species. To us, they’re superheroes, and it seems like there’s nothing they can’t do.

Nothing, that is, apart from maybe learning how to text properly on smartphones… or learning to use any “smart technology” in general.

But, if anything, this technology faux pars just make us love them more… while we aren’t banging our head against a wall.

So, I have gathered the most hilarious “Mom texts” from across the internet for you all to enjoy (you’re welcome), so whether you have a text-incapable Mom, or you happen to be one, you’re sure to find something on here that’ll make you LOL (that’s ‘Laugh Out Loud’, not Lots Of Love, btw)

1. “The Google”

Starting off with an absolute golden example. “You don’t run the Google?” is 100% a classic Mom-ism, and 100% my new catchphrase.

2. My bad…

Moms, we have ALL been there, and if you say you haven’t then you are lying. Look, we get it, you have a lot on your mind… doctors appointments, school runs, laundry cycles, preparing for that big meeting you have with your neanderthal boss on Monday… we forgive you. Just, y’know, don’t let it happen again.

 

3. Miscommunication

This one is so wholesome and I love it. I mean, you can totally understand where the miscommunication has gone on here, but the fact that the Mom didn’t put two and two together is just absolutely adorable.

4. YOLO

Hey, sometimes they hit the nail on the head without even realizing it! And you have to give it to Moms everywhere, at least they try right? You go, Mom!

5. Savage

Sometimes, by trying to help our Moms out and teaching them how to vaguely use smart technology “properly” we are unknowingly shooting ourselves in the foot and opening ourselves up to stuff like this. It’s a good job we freakin’ love them.

 

6. She warned you.

Sometimes (and by sometimes I mean pretty much all the time) it’s best to just do what your Mom says and not question her. After all, WHAT DID SHE JUST SAY?

7. Mom games

Well, this Mom 100% has her head screwed on. She knows exactly what she has to do to get her kids to do what she wants them to do… must make a note for future use!

PLOT TWIST: She never hid $100 in your room at all, and you just cleaned it yourself for free. SUCKERS.

8. LOL

Oh LORD. I know you shouldn’t laugh but, this one really did make me LOL. Sounds like this Mom has A LOT of damage control to do. This is why it’s usually a good idea to check any “text abbreviations” with your kids before you go out in the wild and use them yourself.

 

9. Howdoyouspace

An easy mistake to make. I mean, how is she supposed to know that the spacebar-looking icon on her phone screen is meant to be the spacebar? Give her a break!

10. Oh, your Mom got jokes.

YIKES. I imagine this kid had to make a swift call to 911 after receiving this text just so they check themselves into the BURN unit. I just don’t know how you come back from that one. Nothing I love more than a sassy Mom!

11. Loser

Honestly, after reading some of these I’m not sure I even want to teach my Mom how to use her phone properly anymore. These Moms are just straight up SAVAGE and they aren’t afraid to let their kids know how they really feel. 100% Mom goals.

12. How do you know?

This is definitely a classic Homer Simpson “D’OH!” moment. I can literally see this kid smacking their forehead with their palm after reading this. I think it’s time to teach this Mom what “being left on reading” means.

13. IT’S A TRAP!

Don’t be fooled; Moms pretend to be a lot let sharp than they actually are; they know how to catch you out, and if they need to, they WILL.

14. Coming out

WHOOPS, talk about putting your foot in it… but hey, at least this Michael knows that if he should ever find himself needing to “come out” he knows he has the full support of his Momma! Which is super sweet.

15. The cat is a snitch

It seems these days you can’t try anybody, ESPECIALLY not your freakin’ cat! Gotta love this Mom’s commitment though, 10/10 for creativity in trying to find out what your sneaky kids are up to.

16. Don’t tell your Dad!

Look, even Moms get up to some dodgy things every now and then… and they need their kids’ help in order to help them hide the evidence. Always best to help your Moms whenever you can… you never know when you’ll need her to return the favor, no questions asked!

17. WTF

And of course, I left my favorite for last. There’s just something so fantastic about this exchange. I get it, easy mistake to make, but the fact that the text still kind of fits the context despite the fact that it doesn’t mean what this Mom thought it did is just a whole other level of hilarity.
