Governor Obaseki Is My Brother: Oshiomhole
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole says Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state is his brother and the said rift between them was created by people with personal interest.
The former Edo state governor said this on Monday night while receiving Governor Obaseki, who led members of his cabinet to celebrate the Eid-el-Kabir Festival at his Iyamoh residence in Estako West Local Government Government Area of the state.
Army Arrest Policemen Who Leaked Information To Kidnap Kingpin In Taraba
The Defence Headquarters has arrested two policemen linked to leaking information to the suspected kidnap kingpin in the Taraba covert operation that led to the killing of three policemen and a civilian by soldiers. According to Daily Trust, the two policemen working at Ibi police division “were arrested for allegedly leaking information to Hamisu Wadume of plans to arrest him”.
The panel also reportedly ordered the arrest of five soldiers who were at the army checkpoint, and the 60 people alleged to be working for the suspected kidnap kingpin are at large.
Buhari Is A role Model For Declaring He Has Just 150 Cows — Accord Party Chieftain
Saheed Ajadi, a chieftain of the Accord Party in Oyo State, has described President Muhammadu Buhari as a role model for Nigerians, for declaring that he has just 150 cattle. The Accord chieftain, who was a former governorship candidate of the party in the last governorship election in the state said this in Ibadan during an interview with Vanguard.
He said, “There is no role model in the country anymore. It’s a big problem. Buhari is a role model. If our president is declaring 150 cattle and telling Nigerians he is not a multi-billionaire and we cannot quantify the billions of his predecessors; for goodness sake, Buhari is a role model.”
We Have Achieved Food Security — Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari says he has directed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stop providing foreign exchange for importation of food into the country, saying the country has attained food security following steady improvement in agricultural production.
The president said this in Daura on Tuesday, when he hosted All Progressives Congress (APC) governors to Eid-el-Kabir lunch. Buhari said the foreign reserve will be used only for diversification of the economy, and not for encouraging more dependence on foreign food importations.
Leave CBN Alone — Moghalu Warns Buhari
Kingsley Moghalu, a former presidential candidate has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to leave the central bank alone following his directive that the apex bank should stop providing foreign exchange for importation of food.
President Buhari said this on Tuesday in Daura, Katsina State, when he hosted the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors to Eid-el-Kabir lunch at his country home in Daura.

Scientists Find Treatment For Ebola
After several years of trying, scientists have discovered a treatment for Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo. According to reports, two out of four drugs being tested have been found to significantly reduce the death rate for the killer disease.
The World Health Organisation and the United States National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, noted that the drugs block the virus, adding it has been found to be substantially more effective than previous drugs like ZMapp and Remdesivir.

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria(IMN) have accused the Nigerian government and American secret service of frustrating the medical treatment of their leader, Ibraheem El Zakzaky at Madenta Hospital, New Delhi, India. El-Zakzaky and his wife had departed Nigeria to India aboard Emirates Airlines on Monday.
