Federal High Court In Abuja Orders Arrest Of NFF President, Pinnick Over Alleged Fraud
A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the arrest of Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Melvin Pinnick and four other officials over misappropriating funds belonging to the football body.
The president of NFF Amaju Pinnick, the secretary, Sunsi Mohammed; the 1st Vice-president, Seyi Akinwumi; 2nd Vice-president, Shehu Dikko and an Executive member, Yusuff Fresh have been accused of alleged misappropriation of $8,400,000 belonging to the football body.
Nigerian Ex-first lady Dame, Patience Jonathan has been ordered by the Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday, 1st of July 2019 to fortify $8.4 million and N9.2 billion to the Federal Government.
Justice Mojisola Olatoregun held that Mrs. Jonathan could not prove the legitimacy of the money, therefore, the money is reasonably suspected to be have been gotten from crime.
“You Are Infringing On My Fundamental Human Right” – Saraki Replies EFCC
Bukola Saraki, former Senate president, has replied the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) by saying he is not interested in a media war with anybody.
Saraki who spoke via a statement he released through his media aide said his fundamental right has rather been infringed upon by the anti-graft agency.

Reno Omokri in his message advised the pastor not to fall into depression despite everyone turning their backs on him.
Gunmen sack police station, kill DPO and two other policemen in Bayelsa
The Inspector General of Police, IGP M.A Adamu, has ordered a massive manhunt for the unknown gunmen who sacked a police station in Bayelsa, killing 2 policemen and a DPO.
The IG also ordered Adamu ordered for that crack detectives from the IGP-Intelligence Response Unit (IRT), the Forensic and Homicide sections of the FCID and Special Operatives of the Marine Police Department be immediately deployed to Yenagoa to help the Bayelsa Police Command solve the crime.
Nigerians react as court orders Patience Jonathan to forfeit $8.4 million, N9.2 billion to the federal government
Nigerians have taken to social media to react reports that justice Olatoregun of a Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of billions of naira and millions of dollars traced to a former First Lady, Patience Jonathan.
The court ordered that the monies $3.65m, $4.7m, N1.81bn, N226.38m, N1.09bn, N39.42m, N7.22m, N55.94m, N174.17m, N858.93m, N1.81bn, N1.1bn, N317.40m, N1.90bn and $429.3m traced to the former First Lady be forfeited to the federal government.
Abdul’aziz Yari, the former governor of Zamfara state, on Monday, revealed that he did his best his time to solve the security challenges in the state.
The former governor said this during a meeting of All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders from Gusau, Maradun, and Tsafe local government areas.
Fayemi’s Aide Employs 62 Persons As Personal Aide
Makinde Araoye, the special adviser to Ekiti state governor on Federal Matters, Kayode Fayemi, has confirmed the appointment of 62 personnel as his aide.
According to the governor’s aide who made this known while fielding questions from journalists in Ado where he gave them their first salaries, he said they were paid from his own purse and not from the state government.
FG clarifies misconceptions about Ruga settlement
The federal government has released a statement explaining the reasoning for proposing the Ruga settlement — Following the stiff opposition many Nigerians have expressed about the scheme. The government has reiterated that the aim of the scheme is to help resolve herders/farmers crises which have characterised many communities in Nigeria in recent times.
The Presidency wishes to draw attention to recent unhelpful comments regarding the plan to stop roaming of cattle herders with the attendant clashes with farmers.
