20 Vehicles, 10 Shops Gutted By Fire In Lagos Market

A massive fire that swept through Owode Onirin, an auto parts market near Ikorodu on Monday, has destroyed over 20 vehicles, 10 shops and belongings worth millions of naira. Mr Wasiu Bello, a business owner in the market, claimed the fire was caused by the carelessness of a food seller who had left a lump of burning coal in her shop.

The fire reportedly started at about 9:30 pm, with many traders scampering for safety.
