Women are outnumbered by men as world population hits 7.7 billion
A new report has confirmed that the world population currently stands at an estimated 7,713,468,000.
According to the United Nations Population Division, the population as it stands now is still expected to grow to around 8.5 billion in 2030, 9.7 billion in 2050, and 10.9 billion in 2100.
Data also showed that males outnumber females not only in Nigeria but in the world as a whole.
As of mid-year 2019, the population in Nigeria was estimated at 200,964,000 with 99,132,000 million females and 101,832,000 males.
Recall also in 1991 and 2006 censuses conducted by the Nigerian government, men outnumbered women
Globally now, it has been estimated that men are 3,889,035,000 in number and there are 3,824,434,000 females.
