Source Reports Lori Loughlin Is Feeling “More And More Confident” She Will Avoid Jail Time
The college admissions scandal just doesn’t quit with the constant twists and turns!

Not a day goes by that some new source doesn’t report a shocking piece of new evidence or quotes those implicated as saying something seriously incriminating or startlingly simple-minded!
But hey, that’s celebrities for you!
People recently spoke with a source close to Lori Loughlin who claims that the actress is feeling “more and more confident” about avoiding jail time…
The source commented;
“The more that [the attorneys] look at the alleged evidence against them, the better they feel about the case. Everyone is feeling more and more confident that this could end well for them.”

But is that confidence misplaced? Well, I’m no lawyer but… even I think Lori’s reported statement it seems slightly optimistic.
Lori, and husband Mossimo Giannulli stand accused of having bribed Rick Singer (self-confessed ringleader of the college admissions scandal) $500,000 to get their two daughters into USC.
Loughlin and Giannulli expected their daughters to be accepted to USC as part of the crew team. The slight hitch in this plan was that neither of the girls actually play crew…
Most of those caught up in the college admissions scandal were allowed to cut a plea deal. Loughlin’s plea deal would have ensured she spent some time in jail, the sentence was a severely reduced length of time compared to the sentence she could currently be facing.
Loughlin rejected the plea deal and maintained her innocence. Which is a pretty bold move! By rejecting the plea deal both she and her husband could face up to forty years in prison for their alleged crimes if found guilty.

So, with such high stakes at play you’d assume the couple had a pretty bullet-proof defense lined up right? Maybe they’d deny money ever changed hands? Maybe they’d maintain the $500,000 had nothing to do with college admissions… but that’s not quite what they had in store.
Instead, they claimed that they hadn’t realized their actions were illegal.
The cherry on top of this decidedly messy cake is that rumors are now circulating that the admissions scandal will be televised as a limited series. Y’know, in case it wasn’t already dramatic enough…
A source claimed;
“When you look at it in context, you can argue that this is a woman who didn’t understand exactly what she was doing — and she was being counseled and guided by a man who this was his area of expertise. When the evidence comes out, she’ll have a case to make.”
They went on to say;
“She feels like she’s got a valid defense, and that when all the evidence comes out, that she won’t be found guilty.”
Maybe these two have a trick up their sleeves that’s yet to be made apparent… they surely can’t just be claiming they didn’t know what they were doing when they handed over a huge sum of money to a man with influence in colleges…

Lori apparently (and not surprisingly!) is hopeful to avoid both jail time and to clear her name of the accusations. A source told people;
“She doesn’t want to spend time in jail… Her only chance of avoiding jail is to go to court and be found not guilty.”
Which is a pretty grim prospect… Especially if you take the perspective that Loughlin was just trying to ensure the best for her daughters, as all parents would!
Maybe Loughlin has to behave confidently, and assure those around her that she is confident for the sake of her daughters? Who face the terrifying prospect of both parents being incarcerated for a considerable amount of time…
