Attorney Claims Lori Loughlin’s “Vulnerable” Daughter May Face “Criminal Liability” For Admissions Scandal

Mossimo Giannulli and Lori Loughlin face potential jail time for allegedly bribing William Singer $500,000 to ensure USC places for their daughters, Olivia Jade and Isabella. Now, the spotlight is turned on Olivia Jade…

Olivia Jade (far left) is daughter to successful actress Lori Loughlin and fashion-designing Dad, Mossimo Gianulli. It’s fair to say she’s been born to a fairly wealthy world but recently it hasn’t been all posh parties and swimming in bank notes.

Since Loughlin and Gianulli have been embroiled in the college admissions scandal the entire family has been in hot water. Olivia Jade’s parent’s decision not to take their plea deal means they could now face up to forty years in prison if they are found guilty of the charges against them.

Refusing the plea deal means that this case is going to come under some serious scrutiny and sources believe that the Giannulli daughters will now have the magnifying glass turned on them.

Olivia Jade, in particular, seems to have been caught in the crossfire of this case. Olivia Jade is no stranger to the spotlight, as a social media influencer (it’s a job, I swear, at least it is for kids these days!) she has in excess of one million followers for her Youtube channel.

On the channel Olivia Jade features in videos on fashion and beauty trends, one video title read “Blinging On A Budget”, which you can really trust to be an informative piece of material, most girls whose parents have $500,000 to drop on college admission tend to know a lot about budgeting… but I digress…

Recently, Refinery29 spoke to attorney William Moran (who specializes in crisis management) for his take on the case and he didn’t sound hopeful…

Moran said;

“The more time that passes, however, the more likely it is that the prosecutor will bring pressure by seeking to interview the children as part of the evidence. If Olivia Jade knew and participated, she could face criminal liability. As long as charges against the parents are pending, the children are still vulnerable.”

Refinery29 reported,

“Moran explained that if she speaks out to the media, she risks unintentional self-incrimination and potential damage to her brand.”

And you can absolutely see where Moran is coming from! Although both girls could potentially face criminal charges if they are found to have had knowledge of their parents bribery, Olivia Jade is particularly susceptible to letting something incriminating slip on a very public platform!

Her online popularity means she can be scrutinized from every angle, Moran is quoted as claiming,

“Right now, she’s not doing a very good job of protecting herself,”

It’s really hard for youngsters these days, they’re expected to live every aspect of their life on their social media, it’s almost impossible for them to know what will and will not come back to bite them/what does and does not make them susceptible to the scrutiny of others.

Olivia Jade hasn’t been entirely silent on the admissions scandal either, a source spoke to People claiming,

“Olivia is still distraught and embarrassed. She hasn’t been home much. She is very angry with her parents. She just wants to figure out how she can rebuild her brand.”

The source also claimed;

“She blames her parents for everything.”

Strong words, right?! But who’s to know if they’re really what the young woman said… In Instagram posts from last year Olivia Jade expresses nothing but devotion to her parents, writing “love these people 💓 ” to caption a family photograph. But who’s to say how things may have changed since then.

How likely is it Olivia Jade knew of her parents alleged criminal actions? Given that the girls were expected to be accepted to USC as part of the crew team (despite neither of the girls playing the sport!) surely something struck her as suspicious? But having suspicions about protocol and actually being involved in crime are two very separate things, right?

Should the Giannulli daughters face punishment if it is revealed they knew of their parents alleged crimes? Or was it out of the young women’s control? Let me know in the comments! AAx
