AFCON2019: Nigerians react as Mikel is announced to lead super Eagles
Nigeria’s head coach Gernot Rohr named a 25-man provisional list today, where in he recalled Mikel Obi to lead the team in the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
Mikel, Samuel Chukweze, Leicester striker Kelechi Iheanacho, John Ighalo, Ahmed Musa among others made the Super Eagles’ list for Rohr’s 25-man provisional list.
This has stirred reactions among Nigerian football lovers across the country. Taking to social media soon after the announcement was, they expressed mixed feelings at Mikel’s invitation.

What if we didn’t qualify? But he is a great influence on the boys & they regard him highly. Hopefully, it is the right decision
