This Woman Was Left With Eyebrows So Bad You’ll Be Having Nightmares About Them For Months After She Had Them Micro
Every year there seems to be a new “fashion” or “style” trend to jump on the bandwagon of. And you better get it done quick before you become a complete and utter social outcast for the rest of your LIFE all because you didn’t pay $3000 for some 17-year-old NVQ beauty technician out of the local college to smear placenta milk all over your face for 30 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon like Beyonce allegedly did that one time… I’m sure.
Now, beauty standards do of course differ all over the world, however, there is one part of the body that seems to be held to the same standards no matter where you may be, and that your eyebrows. And because of this, there’s been an incredibly popular trend floating around the last couple of years called “microblading” and if you’ve never had it done then you’re obviously like so totally gross, I mean, ew.
(That was genuine sarcasm by the way, in case you didn’t realize. But also if you didn’t realize then shame on you.)
ANYWAY, an American has recently bitten the bullet and had the treatment done… and because of it, has now been left with an absolutely horrific infection after the eyebrow microblading procedure went horribly, horribly wrong.
The host of this show, Dr. Travis Stork introduced the segment by warning the audience that the pictures would be insanely graphic – however, as you can probably imagine, the poor woman’s blistered, infected, sore-looking eyebrows were still met with gasps of horror.
He explained that this unfortunate victim of microblading-gone-wrong wanted to use her own experience as a way to warn others about what the dangers of the procedure could be, adding ‘I don’t blame her, that doesn’t look good. It looks painful’.
…Er, yeah, painful is one way to put it. But what exactly is microblading?
Well, microblading is a tattooing technique which is usually intended to fill out your natural eyebrows. It involves using a small tool which is made of several teeny tiny needles to add semi-permanent pigment to the skin, and if it is done right, it can look really nice and natural.
Clearly, this was not the case for this particular woman, however.

Then another host of the show chimed in to explain what could have possibly caused this infection, suggesting that maybe the instruments which were used during the procedure may not have been sterilized, or that the client’s skin just wasn’t cleaned properly.
She said:
“Microblading is a cosmetic tattoo that people are having where little, fine, feather-like nicks are made in the skin and then tattoo ink is applied, and it’s meant to fill in those gaps in your brows.
Obviously, this is not what anyone goes in wanting to get done. In this case, I think what happened is she had two problems.”
The host then continued:
“One is that when you create nicks in the skin it’s a great doorway for bacteria, and if someone didn’t use sterile instruments or there was dirt in the environment, or her skin wasn’t cleaned properly, she could definitely have got an infection or bacteria in here.
The second is that I think she, by very bad luck, is also allergic to the dye.”
The presenter then went on to explain that she always advises patients to avoid cosmetic face tattoos if they’re allergic to hair dye or literally any other tattoos they may have had.

He also added that it was absolutely vital to only have the procedure done in a licensed environment, and only by someone who has an adequate certification or training and finished by encouraging people to stay very wary when undergoing the microblading procedure.
It’s unclear whether the poor woman in question ever managed to get rid of this outrageous infection and have her eyebrows returned to normal, but hopefully, she wasn’t stuck with this painful looking thing for too long!
Darn… and I had almost convinced myself to finally get the procedure done myself… oh well! Maybe next year eh?
How about you folks, have you ever had your eyebrows microbladed before? Have you had any sort of beauty procedure done before? If so – did it go horribly, horribly wrong? Either way, let me know in the comments! And don’t forget to share this with your friends and family in order to help spread awareness of potential beauty-treatment dangers! AAx
