This Man Who Asked The Internet How He Should Handle His Wife Who “Does Nothing” For Their House Or Kids – Soon Regrets It

I don’t know about you – but when I come across an article online that immediately winds me up (in other words, freakin’ p*sses me off) the LAST thing I need to be doing is reading the comments in response to said article, which will more than likely p*ss me off even more.

There are a few times when I’ll make an exception to this, however – because there actually a few times when reading the comments on the internet is not only okay, but it will also make you feel as if everything is alright within the world and you don’t have to worry as much as you thought you did… instead of the other way around.

Not quite sure what I’m getting at? Well, allow me to elaborate. And be prepared to feel really freakin’ good about yourself.

It all started when a man – who is reportedly named Ben – posted this question (below) on a Facebook page entitled  Man Who Has It All. Yeah, I know. Already off to a glorious start!

You see, poor “Ben” is feeling a little trouble, and he isn’t sure who he should turn to. Obviously, Facebook seemed to be the best place for his worries, and he obviously felt that it was his duty to inform the members of this particular group of the harrowing events that are currently going on in his home life.

The tragedy of it is – Ben’s wife doesn’t clean the house or take responsibility for their kids, and the burning question on his mind it… what on EARTH should he do about it!?

 

Yeah…

Anyway, as you can probably guess, the women of the internet had a good ole’ belly laugh about just how much the men in their lives don’t actually do anything whatsoever in way of cleaning the house and also, even if they did ever actually play with the kids, they don’t really take very much responsibility when it comes to the actual heavy lifting that is involved with parenting.

 

Can I just talk about how much I am absolutely LIVING for each of these comments, by the way? “Have you tried smiling, Ben?” absolutely outstanding effort from the ladies of the world indeed!

I mean, can you just imagine a world where the “gender roles” were reversed!? Oh, the chaos that would ensue!

You know, a world where it was completely acceptable and the daily norm for women to be able to behave like men and act exactly the same way men (“NOT ALL MEN!” I hear being screamed from the back of the office) do whenever it comes down to cohabiting or parenting.

Please, somebody, stop me if it seems I’m stepping out of bound here, by all means!

 

Yeah Ben, what about your Dad? Surely he can come and help you a little? After all, he’s done it all before with you hasn’t he!? He’s practically a professional!

Amazing.

Just, please, for the love of all things sacred, stop for a minute and actually think about your question and why you seem to think it’s freakin’ acceptable for you to go online and ask a bunch of strangers “how you should handle your wife”. Then ask yourself what exactly it says about this bloody world we live in – I mean GOSH.

Okay okay, I’m getting aggravated again now. Moving swfily on…

All is not 100% lost, however. There’s a light at the end of this sexist tunnel and it’s the fact that for his part anyway, Ben did begin to have some regrets about having the shear AUDACITY to post his question… which we can see from his own comment below:

 

Although I think if I was him I would have just kept my big mouth shut and not said anything. However, Ben’s presence in the chaotic comments section simply delighted absolutely everybody… as I’m sure you can absolutely imagine.

 

I know it 100% did for me, anyway!

And folks, that is just a scratch on the surface of the advice lucky ole’ Ben was given. He probably has no idea what to do with all the advice he has on his hands now, actually! But what I’m absolutely DYING to know the most is if whether or not his lazy, good-for-nothing wife ever found out about Ben’s secret little cry for help?

And if she did… well, is Ben even with us now or did he all of a sudden shuffle off of this mortal coil!? So many questions that will probably be left unanswered…
