‘Safe places are no longer safe’ – Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani has finally reacted to the killing of 2 tourists in Kaduna State at a popular tourist resort in Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State.

News surfaced a few days ago that two tourists had been killed and 3 others kidnapped at the resort.

A statement released by the Police Public Relations Officer, Kaduna State Command, DSP Yakubu Abubakar Sabo, said;

“On 20/04/19 at about 0020hrs, we received an information through DPO Kajuru that at about 2340hrs, some suspected Kidnappers armed with dangerous weapons gained entry into a recreational resort called Kajuru Castle in Kajuru Local Government Area shooting sporadically and in the process shot dead two persons including an expatriate lady and took away three others.

“Patrol Teams led by the DPO rushed to the scene evacuated the victims to St. Gerald Hospital.”

Reacting to the incident, Sani said;

“The Killing and kidnappings of tourists at Kajuru Castle, Kaduna state by armed men is sad and tragic.

“Even places hitherto considered safe are no more safe. For every life lost, a ring of guilt hangs on the neck of those with statutory responsibility. May their souls Rest In Peace.”
