Prince Harry Sent The Sweetest Card To His 99-Year-Old Aussie Friend For Her Birthday

That’s right folks, I have another story about the British Royal Family for you all, but what do you expect? You know how I feel about them… and besides, this one is super, super cute!

Also, this particular story is about my favorite royal (and I’m 100% sure I’m not the only one who shares that sentiment), that cheeky red-haired Prince who has stolen all of our hearts over the years… Prince Harry!

Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past year, you’ll be highly, highly aware that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, aka the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are currently super busy preparing for the birth of their first ever child – however, as it turns out, no matter how busy they are, Prince Harry still finds the time to send a super sweet birthday note to one of his biggest fans for her incredibly impressive 99th birthday.

And below is reportedly what the beloved Prince wrote in his adorable birthday note to his huge fan, Daphne Dunn;

“Dear Daphne, my wife and I send our warmest wishes to you on the occasion of your 99th birthday on Friday.”

It continued;

“We hope you have a wonderful celebration surrounded by family and friends and that you’ve managed to escape the hospital. Congratulations on reaching this important and impressive milestone before your centenary year next year,” the letter read.

Prince Harry, who is currently 34 years of age, first met Dunne, on not one but two of his previous visits to Australia,  once back in 2015 and the second time back in 2017.

Then, when he and Meghan visited the country together in October during their very first official overseas tour as a married couple (which, FYI, is so CUTE!), he made sure to introduce his new bride to one of his oldest fan – Dunn.

Sorry… I just need a minute… there appears to be something in my eye…

In fact, when Meghan met Dunne for the first time during the overseas visit, she even told her; “Hopefully next time we see you we’ll have our little with one with us,” according to local reports, that is.

Meghan has since told well-wishers that she is in fact due to give birth either in late April or early May, and I don’t know about you but I am SO. FREAKIN’. EXCITED. I mean, can you just imagine how glorious that baby is going to look!?

Sadly, it’s been reported that Dunne actually spent her 99th birthday (which she celebrated on the 28th March) in the hospital.

However, her daughter, whose name is Michelle Haywood, told the Australian morning show called “Today” that Harry and Meghan’s incredibly thoughtful birthday letter was truly helping her to fight through her illness. Michelle also said that the entire family got “goosebumps” once they had learned about the letter… I mean, who wouldn’t!? What an incredible honor.

“She’s still very unwell and I think, you know, if anything, the card they sent means so much,” Haywood said. “I think it will be the thing that gets her through.”

To make this story even more adorable, When she was asked why she herself though Harry had remembered her birthday and sent her such an adorable birthday message, Dunne replied cheekily that it was all because “I just threw him a kiss.”

Hey, when you’ve got it you’ve got it! And a certain Ms. Daphne Dunn has very clearly got it… especially when it comes to our beloved red-haired Prince Harry!

This is just such a wonderful story to start your week off, don’t you think!? And when some people out there have the audacity to ask me why exactly I am so very much obsessed with the British Royal Story, I tell them it’s because of the small, simple, yet incredible things they do like this for the people who love them, no matter who they are!
