Legislators Approve Monthly Life Pension For Themselves

The Bayelsa State House of Assembly has passed a bill that is seeking to pay monthly life pension for former members. According to the bill which has been sent to the governor of the state, Seriake Dickson, for accent, the following are expected to be paid.

• N500,000 to the speakers of the assembly
•  Deputy speakers will receive N200,000.
• Members are to get N100,000.

To qualify for the speakership pension of N500, 000 monthly, the person must have served for two years and above.
