Buhari’s ”Private Visit” To UK Is Illegal – Former Presidential Aide
Reno Omokri, a former aide to ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, has criticized President Muhammadu Buhari’s ”private visit” to the United Kingdom on the ground that it is ”unconstitutional.”
Reno who spoke via his Twitter handle argued that since Buhari is not on leave, he is expected to have written to the Senate to constitutionally hand over to the vice president Yemi Osinbajo.
He added that since he didn’t do that, he can not be on a ”private visit” to the UK.
His tweet:
Private visit. What does that even mean? President @MBuhari is not on leave, otherwise he‘d have written to the @NGRSenate to constitutionally hand over to VP @ProfOsinbajo as acting President. He did not do so. So constitutionally, he can't be on a 'private visit’ #RenosDarts
