‘Any officer caught abusing power will be dismissed’ – IGP

Mohammed Adamu the IGP of the Nigerian police force has issued a warning to all officers following the incessant killings of innocent citizens.

During an official visit to Lagos State on Monday, Adamu stated clearly that any officer caught abusing power will immediately be dismissed.

While expressing his condolences to the bereaved families of the victims, Adamu made it clear that supervisors of any officer, including the Area Commander, Divisional Police Officer or Sectional Head, caught erring will all be sanctioned for lacking supervision.

Adamu added that the growing cases of abuse of power by some police officers in the state is against the statutory provisions of the Nigeria Police Force. .
