20 Times Prince George and Princess Charlotte Showed Kate And Wills Exactly Who Ruled The Roost

Prince William may be heir to the throne but that doesn’t mean his kids are any less likely to disobey him! And as anyone with kids will know… it happens all the freakin’ time!

As most parents will attest your kids are both the light and the absolute bane of your existence. And that’s no less true for William and Kate! Though the royal couple may have immeasurable fame and fortune they’re just as besotted/exasperated with their babies as we are.

So let’s countdown some of the most memorable times Their Royal Littleness’ showed Kate and William that, though they were further from the throne, they were certainly the ones in charge!

1. Pouting page boy

 Little George is not forgiving Kate for telling him to behave. Look at that little bottom lip! It’s all a-quiver with righteous pride. Mom may have told George off but he’s still assured that one day he will be King, and he will make messing about at weddings mandatory.

2. Slinky sorrows

Kate has a way of making even the smallest tasks seems graceful and regal. She’s untangling a Slinky like no future-queen ever has.

3. Balcony bawling

Little Charlotte is not pleased to be paraded out on the balcony. Sure, it looks like they’re watching something pretty spectacular but Charlotte cares not. She demands Mom’s love and attention, spectacle be damned!

4. No way is he waving!

Who can blame little Georgey for not waving?! He’s only a little kid and we’re sure he’s got other things he’d rather be doing than waving at some dumb cameras! I wonder if William is having a stern word? C’mon, kid, you’re the future King, you’ve got to win ’em over! But I’m sure William is too great a Dad to say that…

5. Fussy flyer

Poor George, he doesn’t look too amused at this situation and no amount of coaxing from his royal Dad will tempt him to go forth into the media whirlwind. Poor little lamb, no young child should have to deal with this level of attention.

6. Bow down Dad!

It’s proper etiquette to bow to royalty… but are royals supposed to bow to other royals?? It certainly seems to be the case for William and George!

Charlotte is in a similar boat here! She was born royal, unlike Momma Kate, so you best believe she’s demanding a low curtsy from that common-born woman!

I’m sure Kate and William could tell a different story… we’re sure at some point Charlotte and George will have it drilled into them just how a Royal “ought” to pose but for now, we love just seeing them act like the little kids they are!

Kate is dealing with these troublesome tots with her usual level of out-of-this-world grace. Both of the kids seem desperate to struggle free and run riot though!

A church service can be pretty testing for some kids! Luckily, Prince William seems to be an expert at bribing George into good behaviour. Candy is always a good way to go!

As previously mentioned, it’s good etiquette to bow to royalty, but these little tykes take it to a whole other level! They expect everyone to crouch down around them, but when you look this cute? Why wouldn’t you expect as much?!

Kate is clearly having some stern words here (and kids sure need them from time to time!) but does Prince Geroge look bothered? Absolutely-freakin’-not!

George is definitely listening to something suitably royal here! We suspect some sort of Opera as opposed to a collection of cartoon theme music… either way, it’s a good enough excuse not to listen to Dad!

Kate takes it all in her graceful stride. Bless her. We’ve all had one of these moments but she’s got to deal with it in front of the cameras! (instead of just in front of the rest of the grocery store, like the rest of us)

Kate and Wills can’t just shove an iPad into Charlotte or George’s hands to shut them up for five minutes. They’ve got to make sure the little ones are entertained throughout the swanky, public appearances. They’re clearly doing a great job.

All Mom’s can relate to this one! You’d do anything to keep your little angels safe… but man they come to you with some pretty minor stuff, how much can you pretend to care about a broken nail?! We’re sure Kate “kissed it better” either way.
