Woman’s Brilliant Trick On How To Cure A Migraine With Nothing But A Food Clip
Are you a poor unfortunate soul who regularly suffers from migraines? Have you tried everything but just can’t seem to get it them to stop? Well, Elizabeth Hayes may just have the answer for you!
If you suffer terribly from migraines, you definitely will want to keep reading. There is an American woman who hails from Indiana who has recently uploaded a complete ‘life-saving’ hack which she claims has helped to relieve her crippling migraine in a mere matter of minutes! (No, really).
Elizabeth Hayes, who is a gluten-free business owner who regularly suffers from extremely painful migraines, and had no idea how to stop them. One day, she began to grow seriously desperate after a migraine she’d been suffering for 12 whole hours reached it’s peak and showed literally no signs of slowing down whatsoever – despite the fact that Hayes had been taking her usual painkillers.
Fortunately for us all, Hayes went on to share a Facebook post in which she described herself Googling ‘fast relief for migraines’ which then lead her to come across a website called Aculief, which sells natural pain relief remedies. In particular, this company manufactures a special clip which is supposed to help to stimulate the L.I 4 pressure point found in our hands and should supposedly lessen the pain of migraines, as well as other conditions.
Of course, at the time of her migraine, Hayes was completely unable to wait around to order the Aculief product, so instead got creative and found some DIY inspiration in her own kitchen, by using a simple food clip and cleverly closing it over the desired point between her thumb and forefinger.
The business owner then happily claimed that the ‘chip clip had saved her life!’, as it managed to reduce the unbearable pain she’d been suffering through by half in just under a mere 20 minutes. WOW!
Since sharing her ever-so-useful story, Hayes’ original Facebook post has now gone viral, with more than 600,000 likes and shares at the time of writing, from fellow users all over the world who were super impressed with her handy, life-changing tip.
Hayes also posted a picture of exactly how she clipped the simple food-clip onto her hand. Her full message read:
“This chip clip saved my life tonight.
“I had a migraine start almost twelve hours ago and about an hour ago it was at an unbearable limit.
“I had exhausted all of my drugs and tricks I usually use to ease my migraines to no avail. I googled fast relief for migraines and it pulled up something called Aculief.
“I glanced at the counter and saw this chip clip and decided it would do about the same thing. Within one minute I had some relief, and within twenty my pain was reduced by half!
“I decided to order the real thing off Amazon. Just wanted to share this with everyone, as I know many of you suffer from migraines also.”
Soon enough, her poor, fellow migraine sufferers were absolutely filling up the comments section with their own thoughts and tales about Hayes’ genius life hack. The post itself has so far gathered around 75,000 likes, over 216,000 comments, and 271,000 shares. In fact, one follower even stated:
“I’ve heard of this before. Like applying pressure there…but using a clip …hmmmm.”
Meanwhile, another advised: “Chip clips are only a couple dollars at Hannaford Shaw’s or any of your local supermarkets.” Which I’m sure is seriously welcome news to any sufferers out there!
In response to Hayes (picture below), one user tried out the trick and had this to say: “If you press on a specific point but yes it works, well it does for me but I found as soon as you stop pressing on the spot the pain comes back. Just my experience, good luck folks.”
Somewhat unsurprisingly, acupressure is actually very similar to acupuncture and has in fact been used within traditional Chinese medicine for years and years. Acupressure actually stems from the idea that certain points on the surface of our bodies are also connected to our inner organs. Energy or ‘Qu’ apparently flows through 12 different channels (or as they’re also known, ‘meridians’) inside the body and is the flow is interrupted at all then the body will experience ill health. Pretty cool right?
In other words, using tiny needles or, any other instruments to manipulate what is known as ‘trigger points’ helps to restore the flow of energy that runs through our body constantly.
This stimulation of the skin and muscle nerves actually release the body’s natural painkillers – aka endorphins and serotonin – right into the pain pathways of the spinal cord as well as the brain. This then helps the body to modify the way those annoying pain signals are received.
Have you ever tried this before? Will you give it a go? Or do you have you own rememdy for stoping your migraines… or any other pain for that matter? Let me know in the comments to help our other fellow fans, and don’t forget to share this with your friends and family – you never know who it may hekp! x
