No case of widespread violence in Kano rerun – Police
The police in Kano state have denied reports that the supplementary poll in the state was marred by thuggery and disruption.
According to Michael Obizi, police DIG in charge of the poll in the state, there was no such thing as widespread violence in the rerun poll that took place today in Kano.
Speaking to newsmen on Saturday, the police DIG said rerun election in the state is “peaceful but with minor incidents”. He revealed also that 10 suspects have been arrested.
“All reports that thugs disrupted the elections are not true,” Obizi said.
