Kamaru Usman Becomes This First Africa-Born UFC 235 Champion Of The World

Kamaru Usman defeated Tyron Woodley via unanimous decision, score, at UFC 235 on Saturday night, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The ‘Nigerian Nightmare’ now claims the first championship of his professional MMA career, becoming the 10th undisputed welterweight champion in UFC history. It was an absolutely dominating performance for Usman, who won every single minute of the fight and dominated Woodley, whose two-and-a-half-year title reign now comes to an end. “I might not be the best striker in the world, I might not be the best wrestler in the world. But when it comes to mixing the [expletive] up, I’m the [expletive] best welterweight in the world,” said Usman, who extends his mixed martial arts win streak to 14, and 10-0 in the UFC.
