Just in: INEC office wrecked by fire outbreak

The Independent National Electoral Commission preparation for Saturday’s election has suffered a major setback as the commission’s office in Akwa Ibom state has been destroyed by fire with the election less than 24 hours away.

The cause of the fire outbreak at the commission’s office situated at Ibesikpo Asutan is still unknown at the time of filing this report. Election materials have been destroyed by the fire.
