Director Reveals Prince Charles Is A Rock For Harry And Meghan Throughout Marriage

Harry and Meghan’s romance may well have been a whirlwind, but it’s nothing compared to their first year of marriage.

Meghan Markle, alongside marrying a freakin’ prince, shouldering the stardom of a royal freakin’ wedding and adjusting to life as a royal herself and adopting a royal title has had a lot on her plate!

Similarly, Harry faced the nerve-wracking proposal to his unimaginably beautiful then-girlfriend, dealt with the expectations of his family and managed the press with grace and courtesy throughout the widely anticipated engagement.

Harry has had his fair share of trouble with the newspapers and yet he remained the perfect gentleman when discussing his engagement and marriage. We know if we were under that kind of pressure we’d be telling everybody around us to freak’ off!

We can’t deal, he makes our hearts melt. 

But the media coverage (borderline harassment and bullying) wasn’t the only challenge in store for the happy couple.

Within just one year of marriage, Harry and Meghan have undertaken a sixteen-day overseas tour, introduced a range of major charitable initiatives and discovered they are expecting their first child together.

It’s been quite a year!

I don’t know about you but I definitely wouldn’t mind a surprise like that!

But as any married couple will know no marriage is easy! And having the tabloids always on your back can’t help matters…

A new documentary on Harry’s father, Prince Charles has given a new insight into the couple’s life. The director of the film, John Bridcut reports that Prince Charles advised the couple to;

“Soldier on” and “just carry on doing the job”

It may look like a pretty cushy “job” but doubtless there are very real pressures and unenjoyable elements of being royal.

 

Harry and Meghan must appreciate his sage advice so freakin’ much!

Prince Charles is no stranger to media scrutiny following his tumultuous relationship with Princess Diana and marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles. His input must be hugely beneficial to Harry and Meghan suffering similar harassment from the press.

Bridcut, director of the documentary “Prince Charles at 70”, went on to say:

“There is a close relationship between father and son and I’m aware that he gets along very well with both the daughters-in-law,” he added that Harry has “become a real champion of his father .”

We love that Charles gallantly walked Meghan down the aisle in place of her father who could not attend. Meghan and the prince were photographed at the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey sharing a laugh.

Clearly, Prince Charles is a figure of real support to Meghan, throughout thick and thin he is a caring father-in-law.

Bridcut went on to say:

“Charles is being completely supportive — and could be seen in the very touching way in which he was involved in the wedding ceremony itself, which was sort of all quite understated,”

Charles stepped in when Markle’s father had to bow out of his role due to health complications. We love how ready and willing Charles was to step in and save the day.

Bridcut recalls, “It was all very last minute, of course, the way things turned out.”
