Bisi Alimi reacts after man wished he died in the Ethiopian Airlines crash
Nigerian gay rights activist, Bisi Alimi has reacted to a post by a man who wondered why he and his husband were not victims of the Ethiopian Airlines crash which took place last Sunday.
The man identified as Temitope Johnsaw on Facebook shared pictures of Bisi Alimi and his white husband with the caption:
“There was a plane crash yesterday.
Where were they?”
Reacting to the man’s post, Bisi Alimi labeled it as hate.
“Hate is too much a burden to bear”- MLK. It is not so much that someone wishes another death because they love differently from them, but it is about using their hate to mock the dead. Just while the families of the dead are mourning, this man uses the situation to wish us dead. I repeat; hate is too much a burden to bear”, Bisi Alimi shared.
