After Lagos Island Building collapse that killed many children, Nigerians advocate ways to curb menace
The sad incidence of a building collapse in Lagos state on Wednesday, which claimed the lives of 12 children and 4 adults, and left many more injured, shouldn’t be swept under the carpet, according to many Nigerians.
Taking to social media to mourn the dead and pray for the quick recovery of the injured, Nigerians say, more than enough must be done to see that such never happens again.
Many have suggested way by which government must tackle the incessant collapse of buildings across the country, and here below are few ways advocated by them.

Until we understand that we cannot continue to accept mediocrity, we wouldn't move forward as a nation.
Risk assessment should be carried on any and every property
Every individual involved in the construction of that building should be investigated. #LagosBuildingCollapse

The rate of mortality resulting from building collapse in Nigeria has become increasingly alarming & worrisome.
Every now & then, there are reports of one building collapse or another.

Once there is no major punishment for corruption, building collapse, failed banks and every form of anyhowness, please don’t be shocked if it happens again, again and again again.

Until people start going to jail for criminal negligence on these incessant building collapses. We will continue interring our loved ones while waiting for God to sort our known issues. Also, you never know how it feels until these things hit close to home.
