23 Shower Thoughts That Will Make You Think Much More Deeply About Life Than You Wanted To
I don’t know about you but my shower routine consists of screaming my favourite song terribly out of tune whilst making crazy hairstyles out of shampoo…
However, APPARENTLY according to the shower thoughts Reddit thread, I am very much alone in that. Many people actually think about life in the shower and come up with some brilliant observations. Now I feel like a bit of an idiot…
Today, we will dive deep in the shower thoughts Reddit posts and find the most fantastic comments on life ever to have been thought about in the shower. Get ready to expand your mind and feel bad about just singing in the shower…
1.) Truer words have never been spoken
Sapphorous / Reddit
This is actually pretty worrying when you think about it. We spend so much time looking forward to our day off that when it comes, we don’t even enjoy the day, we enjoy the build-up more! These shower thoughts are making me think too much already…
2.) Sad but true
feedmesteak / Reddit
Every child needs a parent to guide them through life and teach them the ways of the world. However, some parents definitely aren’t ready for children or are just bad at being parents in general. Those parents don’t deserve children when there are amazing people who desperately want kids!
3.) I can’t unsee this now!
Odin343 / Reddit
After reading this, now all I can picture is Centaurs with the human half of their body useless whilst the horse part is functioning perfectly for two years. This makes you think though, why are humans completely useless for the first two years of their life and every other animal can fully function and walk in like a day?
4.) Skyscrapers are the ultimate sandcastles
Because_Logic / Reddit
This is amazing and technically it is actually true! Obviously, they aren’t completely made out of just sand entirely and you couldn’t exactly make a skyscraper at the beach but it’s a cool thought nonetheless. I’m such a killjoy…
5.) Downton Webby
tylerolo / Reddit
I wonder if the royal spiders are different from the other spiders. Do spiders pay to go and see them? Do they have little spider parades? These are all important questions that I NEED to know the answer to.
6.) That’s so clever!
cinimodhtrifhtims / Reddit
I love this one and I’ve literally never thought of it that way. The post office must have hated the internet, to begin with, and now they are best friends! What a beautiful story, they should make this into a movie.
7.) What a way to go
TerminalGay / Reddit
This is such a cool idea I would pay to see that! This has really got me thinking now though, how many times have I almost died and had absolutely no idea that I was close to dying? Oh no, I’m thinking too much now, back to singing in the shower, please!
8.) A fine line between body positivity and promoting dangerous health
Kintarra / Reddit
I agree that we all should embrace body positivity and build up each other’s self-esteem. However, we shouldn’t ever encourage a dangerously obese person to continue on with their unhealthy lifestyle. It’s like telling an alcoholic or drug addict to carry on as they are.
9.) This is getting too deep now…
zjb55446 / Reddit
This is actually such a weird thought. You always think of your parents as fully grown up but they are growing and changing every single day too! Plus, as a parent, you are growing up with your kids, not just your kids growing up…
10.) Yes! And that’s why we love Pixar
Nestle_SwllHouse / Reddit
I think that we all love Pixar for just telling the damn story and there being absolutely no singing involved. Once you get past a certain age, the constant singing really does get annoying…maybe I’m just bitter because I never went to Disneyland.
11.) Dance for me, peasant!
matthiasjreb / Reddit
This is SUCH a disturbing way to look at these talent shows but it is true. They could make all of the contestant’s dreams come true if they wanted to but they just make them entertain them instead. Also, the prize of Britain’s Got Talent is to perform in front of the Queen which makes it even more like they are just picking a court fool for the Royals.
12.) A man must have created this tradition
Yorkshire45 / Reddit
Whoever created that tradition should be considered a genius amongst all men. It saved them the “chore” of shopping which clearly actually physically pains them. It also saved us women from having to go shopping with a moaning child (i.e. our man!)
13.) Antarctica is the place to be
pluey200 / Reddit
That is very impressive considering Antarctica’s extremely harsh and cold climates! They must vaxx their babies or something…
14.) Finally, someone said it!
SammichParade / Reddit
I’ve never understood how Harry Potter managed to be such a perfect kid that was in control of his emotions, especially after living under the stairs for most of his life! I would be even more of an emotional wreck than I am now…
15.) USPS needs to do this!
SgtMcBiscuit / Reddit
This is a really good idea and definitely could make USPS a lot more money! Also, it would help the rest of us, I don’t want to throw all of my excessive holiday food in the bin. I would pay good money to mail it home…
16.) I couldn’t agree more
ManOfThieves / Reddit
When you think about it, this is so true! Does this mean that Greek myths are now coming to life? The end is definitely near, especially considering that people like the Kardashians are actually world famous now…
17.) Being too aware isn’t always a good thing
koth72 / Reddit
This is actually so true! They also lack the “that would never happen to me” filter and think that everything will happen to them. The rest of us take our lack of awareness for granted!
18.) Living the dream
dollysharton / Reddit
I’m sure that many people will be VERY jealous of the main child actors in Harry Potter now. Me, not so much. Harry is just far too emotionally stable and it bothers me now.
19.) You just can’t win
Stormfly / Reddit
This is pretty hilarious with how ironic it is. At least the sentence means well, let’s not start picking it apart too much, my brain has thought enough already thanks to all of these deep shower thoughts.
20.) Always avoid eye contact
xpco / Reddit
This is hilariously true but you’ve always got to remember to avoid eye contact when the question is asked, or he might actually pick you to answer it. Let is be like Dora te Explorer, no audience participation whatsoever.
21.) Antarctica sounds great
ssnowee / Reddit
With infant mortalities at zero and the highest average IQ, Antarctica sounds like a happy, simple and actually intelligent place to live. If only other countries were the same…
22.) It’s what the robots want!
SinJinQLB / Reddit
Maybe this was a part of the robot’s plan all along. Slowly put an end to human reproduction, starting with condoms. Soon robots will take over the world! Maybe…
23.) Never take Google Earth for granted!
RiccRoll / Reddit
This is actually so true. Google Earth is absolutely incredible! You can see any part of the world in 3D and virtually walk around it in literally SECONDS. Google Earth has captured every corner of the globe and we just see it as a simple tool. I sometimes spend hours just looking at different places on Google Earth for fun. Too far? Maybe I’m just a little sad then…
I hope these little thought snippets really got you thinking about life. All of that thought has got me tired, time for a quick sing in the shower to wake me up!
Do you have a shower thought that you would like to share? Or has something on our list blown your mind a little too much? Let us know in the comments!
