Tattoos; you either love them, or hate them right? I myself, personally, love them. However I can see why some people wouldn’t a big fan of them. Having said that, perhaps this latest tattoo trend will change your mind?

Okay so first of all, try this; think of a tattoo. Got it? Great. Now, what does it look like? I bet it’s pretty large, and mostly consists of black lines and colored ink, right? Of course it does, because that’s what tattoos look like. But what if I told you, in all seriousness, that there are other types of tattoos out there that contain absolutely nothing except a single white line? Yep, really. And their beautifully delicate and subtle nature is becoming more and more popular all across the globe.

Of course, as pretty as they are, actually getting a white tattoo is certainly not a decision which is to be made ‘lightly’, so to speak. They’re actually a lot harder to execute correctly and require a super experienced tattoo artists to be able to be pulled off well. They need to have a keen eye and a steady hand because, let’s face it, white ain’t the easiest color to see… especially when it’s being put onto white skin.

I honestly had to squint quite a bit to notice this one, which I love. At first I thought these marking were scars, which raises an interesting point about white-ink tattoos actually looking like scars on your body in the first place. Yeah okay, very well designed and intricate scar, but still scars none the less.

ANYWAY, this one is super pretty and it totally get my approval.

This one is definitely a little different, certainly not a design I’ve seen a lot of. Now I’m dying to know what the meaning behind it is!

Not sure why but I’m getting a totally Nordic vibe from this one!? Maybe it’s just the floral shapes used, maybe it’s the type of flower!? ho freakin’ knows. Not a massive fan floral tattoos myself (aside from those cliche roses, obviously) but the black and white combined together makes it pretty darn cute.
