#2019Election: APC and INEC prepare for court showdown

Mohammed Abubakar, Incumbent Governor of Bauchi State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the March 9 election has revealed that he will challenge the decision of Independent National Electoral Commission to resume collation of results in the state.

The governor revealed this after briefing President Muhammadu Buhari on his decision, describing INEC’s decision as illegal. He also described the decision of INEC to cancel supplementary election in the state as the commission had earlier scheduled was an attempt to subvert the will of the people of Bauchi.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) had rejected INEC’s decision to resume collation of results in Rivers and Bauchi states ahead of supplementary elections declared in six states.
