20 Rare Photos Of Albino Animals That You Won’t Believe Are Real

“Albinism” is actually caused by a genetic abnormality that affects the ‘melanin’ in living things.

Melanin is responsible for determining skin and hair color and it’s present in the skin to varying degrees, depending on how much a population has been exposed to the sun historically. If your body makes too much melanin, your skin gets darker, so, naturally, if you body makes too little, then your skin will get lighter & in the severe cases, you get Albinism.

It interferes with the cells that give hair, skin, eyes, scales, and feathers their color (or pigmentation).

Any mammal on this earth can have albinism & Surprisingly, it can even happen in birds, fish, reptiles, and amphibians!

I can honestly say that I never thought I’d see an Albino Vulture! Look at him, isn’t he beautiful!? He looks like a huge, fierce Chicken! Good call, kids! He definitely looks like a Fred!

Wow, is it just me or does this look like some kind of creature that a Fairy God Mother would turn into in a Disney Movie!? Or the pet of a princess!? Either way, it’s absolutely stunning! Not sure what his potential mates would make of it though!

3. Bat

Aw well, he certainly isn’t master of the night like his friends, is he!? & He definitely won’t be hiding in any shadows, but he’s still gorgeous! & Is it just me!? Or does he look like Bartok from the movie, ‘Anastasia’!? We have found the real life Bartok, people!

Well, if he ain’t something straight from the Bible, then I don’t know what is! & Although I’ll probably be seeing him in my nightmares, I’ve got to admit that he’s still frickin’ stunning!

5. Kangaroo

I don’t know why, but I never would have thought that a Kangaroo could get albinism! Probably because they live in the sun! I bet this poor guy suffers quite a bit with living in such a hot country! Although he looks quite old, so he may be living in captivity, which is probably for the best in this case, as apparently, albino kangaroos make very easy prey in the outback!

8. Cardinal

I can’t deal with how cute some of these animals are!

13. Giraffe

Although this beautiful, elegant giraffe still has some spots, other albinos of this species can be completely white!

14. Camel

It breaks my heart to see these poor Camels in what looks to be an amusement park, especially since albino camels can live out a normal lifespan of 40 years! That’s a long time to be spent trapped in captivity for other people’s amusement.
