A recent study has shown that there are jobs out there that can give you an exciting life when out of the office and still earn you some huge bucks.

The research, conducted by career information expert, Laurence Shatkin, Ph.D., compared average salaries and stress levels of 767 occupations to identify jobs that had the perfect combination of high pay and low stress, and he realized there were many.

Here are 7 of such high-paying, low-stress jobs you should consider.

Mathematician

Your duty as a mathematician may vary depending on the field of work. However, with an average annual salary of $104,350, your job will typically be to conduct research in fundamental mathematics or apply mathematical techniques to solve problems in many fields such as the sciences, business, and engineering fields.

All you need is a Bachelor’s or master’s degree if you want to work in government, while jobs in the private industry typically require a doctorate.

Economist

With a Bachelor’s degree, you can easily enter this field if you want to be stress-free, with your main job being to study the production and distribution of resources, goods, and services.

You can make as much as $105,290 a year as an economist and be effective without stress.

Similar to a mathematician, your job will be to work with formulas and data to help solve real-world problems in fields such as industry, academia, engineering, the sciences and government.

According to the research, the average annual salary for statisticians is $84,010 and all you need is a graduate degree.

You can make as much as $75,440 on the average in a year while applying your knowledge of engineering technology and science to agricultural problems related to soil and water conservation, processing of agricultural products, power and machinery, as well as, electrification.
