Most of us have dreamed of what love would be like when we were young. However, “real” love very much differs from the fantasy that we had inside our head.

Artist Amanda Oleander captured the perfect essence of real love through her illustrations. She finds inspiration for her art from her own relationship and observing her family and friends. Her drawings attracted a massive number of followers on Instagram from all around the world.

“They are all situations that have happened in my relationship or situations my family and friends share with me,” Oleander told the media. “They will be talking and then I say, ‘Hold that thought!’ and quickly write it down before I forget.”

She also described her current boyfriend as “sweetest, funniest, most beautiful man in the world.”

“I’m enthralled by the way people behave behind closed doors,” Oleander wrote onInstagram. “Intimate moments we never get to see. Those are moments that can’t really be documented because if they were, it would alter the way the person behaved. So I draw them.”
