20 Viral Photos That Have Been Proven To Be Fake

Thanks to today’s amazing photoshop tools and very talented people, we can all be easily fooled by a viral photo that actually isn’t a real photo at all. A lot of these are harmless but some can really damage people’s reputations, so don’t always believe photos that you see on the internet as they could very well be fakes.

I can’t believe how talented some people are at photoshop, it really is hard to tell the difference and I must admit, I am a little disappointed that some of these aren’t real.

So, let’s dive into the world of viral photos and how you shouldn’t really believe what you see…

1.) Behind The Scenes Of MGM Intro

This viral photo understandably upset a lot of people as it appears that in order to create the MGM intro they forcefully strapped a lion down. Thankfully, in reality, this was a photoshop from a lion in the vet’s office who is now completely healthy.

2.) A cat with a moustache wasn’t enough for the internet

The internet loves animals, especially when they have crazy markings that make them even more human. A photoshop whiz decided to add some angry eyebrows to this cat, giving it the evil villain look. Thankfully, the moustache wasn’t fake which is enough for me!

3.) Amazing fried rice wave

This ‘fried rice meme’ recently took the internet by storm and I was close to marrying this man because of his amazing chef skills. Unfortunately, this was all a fake and it’s just a sculpture. It definitely had me fooled!

4.) Stunning magical castle

What was once my dream holiday destination has now been proven to be nothing more than a fake photoshopped picture. It’s actually a combination of a rock in Thailand and a castle in Germany. I would still like to visit both, though!

5.) Very dangerous pilot selfie

If this photo made your heart stop, do not fear! Thankfully, the pilot was safely on the ground when this photo was originally taken, even on land it’s still an awesome selfie!

6.) Woman sitting like a frog

This one is just disturbing. Thankfully, the woman wasn’t really sitting like a frog but the way she is standing still looks super uncomfortable and weird.

7.) Amazing Lenticular Clouds

I think I prefer the original to be honest, the photoshopped version is just a little bit excessive. How does a cloud even look like that?! I’m shocked that the original wasn’t photoshopped!

I like to think that I wouldn’t have fallen for this one but apparently, a lot of people did! How is a lion not majestic enough as it is?!

9.) Moon on a Skyscraper

I must admit, this one I am a little disappointed by! The moon is notorious for being photoshopped into unrealistic scenarios and I’m not mad about it.

10.) Bear chasing a cyclist

Thankfully, no one was harmed in the making of this photo. If a bear was chasing me like this I think I would have dropped the bike and run away.

11.) Marilyn Monroe And Elizabeth Taylor

Imagine how iconic it would have been if these two beauty legends hung out together?! Unfortunately, this was photoshopped and I am very sad about that.

12.) The legendary Dwarf Giraffe

Apparently, giraffes can actually have dwarfism! This, however, has been photoshopped. I am very impressed with these skills though, I have no idea how they do it…

13.) Bear chasing National Geographic photographers

These National Geographic photographers were away on a shoot and decided to scare their friends and family by pretending they had been chased by a bear. I think the guy on the left gives it away though as he is smiling, I would have been crying in that situation!

14.) Was this the first dab in history?

Many of us wanted to believe that the famous dab began many years ago. However, this is just a photo from behind the scenes filming of the movie Dunkirk.

15.) Giant human skeleton discovery

This giant human skeleton was so realistic that I almost believed it! There are so many of these around the web but no, we don’t have some giant ancient civilisation we are only just finding out about.

This viral photo was definitely not funny, the poor girl would have been so embarrassed about this! Thankfully, there is now proof that it is simply photoshopped.

17.) Paris Hilton’s offensive t-shirt

Paris Hilton may be rich but she isn’t stupid enough to wear a t-shirt that says stop being poor! She just wants people to stop being desperate instead, fair enough.

18.) Cow hanging out on a car

The internet is famous for photoshopped pictures that literally make no sense but we still somehow manage to believe them. Unsurprisingly, this cow chilling on a BMW was indeed, fake.

19.) Einstein and a bomb exploding

This bomb explosion happened 7 years after Einstien had passed away so this photo is clearly fake. I don’t even know what’s going on here and why anyone would have even believed it!

20.) Moments before 9/11

I’m not sure why someone would photoshop this considered such a horrible, tragic event it was. This man was a tourist who did get a photo on the Twin Towers but he did not witness the tragedy take place.

I don’t know about you but I now no longer believe ANYTHING I see on the internet. Not that I did in the first place…Don’t believe every photo you see, it could very well be photoshopped!
