20 Tattoos That Beautifully Combine The Bold With The Beautiful

We all have our own unique and personal style, don’t we? Our body is a blank canvas and as we go through life, our interests, imagination and personality drive us to make our body our own temple…by dying our hair, using makeup, and having our own take on fashion!

An even bigger example of this bodily customization (is that a technical term?) is tattoos…when you think about it, you can’t really get anything more personal than a tattoo, can you?

Akin to choosing a husband or wife, you have to be extremely careful when debating on your final choice, pick wisely, as it’s with you for life and there’s no going back (well, not without a load of pain and money being involved, that is…and that goes for the tattoo removal too!)

However, some people seem to know exactly what they’re doing on this front…and have chosen tattoos that are both bold and beautiful in equal measure….totally worthy of a life long rent on your body parts…and they’re absolutely stunning!

I only say unusual because it looks so freakin’ dainty! Seriously, how has anyone got that amount of tattooing ability!?  The choice of colours is absolutely stunning and the delicate artwork is totally spellbinding. It almost looks like it could be real embroidery (although, I’m sure that would hurt more than a tattoo!) It’s subtle, feminine and beautiful, full marks from us!

2. A single spinal rose

Roses are always a popular choice for tattoos, so I would say it’s pretty important to get them as unique as possible…and this one proves that you don’t need to be over the top to be eye-catching, sometimes less is definitely more! It may be subtle but the attention to detail certainly isn’t!

Well, it looks like this tattoo artist certainly has their own unique style, this almost looks like a watercolour, doesn’t it!? The contrast between the dark and light colours used makes for a unique and eye-catching effect! Beautiful!

I genuinely had to look twice there for a second! I didn’t know which was the tattoo and which was the flower! It’s good to see Carnations finally getting in on the tattoo action as well, you see so many Roses that it becomes boring after a while, Carnations are a gorgeous flower too and you don’t need any more proof of that, after seeing this stunning artwork!

This is the one that I’m planning on stealing for myself! Any self-confessed cat lady wouldn’t be able to resist this beautiful little black baby! I may be biased towards cats, but it’s genuinely one of the most adorable and beautiful tattoos that I’ve ever seen!

This is just a beautiful effect without being too in your face! The colours make for an amazing stain glass window effect almost! To get this effect in ink, (on skin!) it must have taken some serious skill from the artist!

Just looking at this tattoo makes me want to go and roll about in a field of grass and flowers and play with puppies and kittens whilst eating an ice lolly…. *sigh* It’s so light, summery and gorgeous.

8. Share the love! Matching multicoloured Unicorns

Friendship bracelets and interlocking necklaces are so 1998! These days it’s all about that matching tatt! & When they’re as awesome as these enchanting Unicorns, then who can blame anyone!?

Wow, I think you’re going to have to give me a minute here. I’m going to need a while to get over the sheer cuteness of this one! Now, if we’re talking about bold AND beautiful, then this is the perfect example! It’s o sweet and subtle, yet bold because of the placement. I’ve heard that having a tattoo done behind your ear is one of the most painful and sensitive places that you can have one! So, huge kudos to this lady, it’s certainly paid off!

Again, you wouldn’t think that berries would be someone’s first choice for a tattoo, would you!?
