Tom Hanks Has Just Recorded His Last Ever Lines As Woody From ‘Toy Story’

Toy Story is a film franchise that holds a special place in the heart of multiple generations. It was the first blockbuster movie to be created entirely in CGI, and its vivid characters have truly stood the test of time.

We all thought Toy Story 3 was going to be the last time we’d see the gang in action, but news of a 4th (and final) Toy Story movie broke last year, and fans were beside themselves with glee.

Since then, the animators and voice actors have been working around the clock to give Toy Story the finale it truly deserves, and national treasure Tom Hanks, who voices cowboy Woody, recently shared something very special with his followers – his last performance as Woody.

Tom Hanks, the legend who voices the brave cowboy, has posted on Twitter showing him and some of his Toy Story 4 cast mates doing their final lines for the upcoming movie. This is in itself would be enough to make any fan of the movie a little teary-eyed, but Hanks’ caption just pushed us over the limit:

“Final line, final session as Woody of Toy Story 4,” he wrote. “We rode like the wind, to infinity and beyond. Hanx.”

Excuse me, folks, I think I have something in my eye…

The tweet has attracted thousands of responses from adoring fans, with one saying “Thank you Mr Hanks for making Woody and Buzz one of the all time greatest comedy duos cannot wait.”

Another said: “Your voice makes this character. Thank you, Hanx. We can learn a lot from Toy Story.”

Not much is known about this highly anticipated sequel, as Pixar has kept everyone very tight lipped about the plot. Speaking to The Talk, Tim Allen (the voice of Buzz Lightyear) said: “It is so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big, the idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled.

“They’ve got great characters but a couple of scenes toward the end were really hard to get through.”
