Bank Analyst Turns Up For His Last Day On The Job Dressed As Spider-Man

You know that saying “dress for the job you want, not the job you have?” Well, one comic book fan took that to heart recently, when he showed up for his last day at work at a bank, dressed as the legendary superhero Spider-Man.

According to a viral post from Imgur user ksguile, this guy was due to leave his job, but decided to have a little bit of fun during his farewell.

Often on your last day, your coworkers will give you a leaving gift of some description – maybe a basket of muffins and a card. However, this unnamed man decided to give himself the best gift of all – becoming Spider-Man for the day.

As you can see, it was well-received by his coworkers, who were all smiles as he went about his usual workday dressed as Peter Parker’s alter ego.

I know what you’re thinking – as fun as this looks, how would the stuffy suits that work in a bank let one of their employees walk around dressed like that? Surely this breaks just about every rule in the dress code.

Well, apparently, the guy worked in the analysis department, and therefore had no direct dealings with customers. This was probably for the best – as much as people love Spider-Man, I doubt anyone would like to take mortgage advice from him!

Last days can often be a bit of a bummer, but this guy wasn’t about to let that happen on his watch. His superhero role also included handing out candy to his appreciative coworkers. I bet they’re going to miss that guy!

Some of the comments on the original post were hilarious too.

And what kind of comments section would it be without a good old-fashioned pun!

Well played, copingcabana. Well played.

Have you guys ever done anything goofy like this for the last day of your job? Let us know in the comments!
