20 Dads Who Regret Taking Their Daughters To A Boyband Concert
These dads made the TERRIBLE mistake of agreeing to take their daughters to see their favourite boyband. I’m sure their wives convinced them that it would be ‘fun’ and make them ‘feel young again’. However, it was the exact opposite of that.
The pain etched on these dad’s faces is actually hard to look at, I feel like they are the face of some charity we should donate to, ‘Dad’s being forced to watch boyband’s with screaming teens’. These are brave men and deserve respect.
1.) Just close your eyes
Sad and Useless
This dad even has ear plugs and he still looks like he is in pain. I think he is trying to block as many of his senses as possible, he’s got rid of sight and sound, what’s next?
2.) Resigned defeat
Sad and Useless
Now, this is a broken man. I’ve never seen such lifeless defeat in a man’s eyes before. This must be towards the end of the concert when his resolve has completely broken down. Rumour has it that he hasn’t spoken for days since.
3.) Pretend to look busy
Sad and Useless
Earplugs? Check. Distracted look? Check. This dad is trying his best to convince himself that he isn’t at a boyband concert surrounded by screaming girls. He is, in fact, chilling with a beer in the sun, what you believe is your reality.
4.) Complete and utter HORROR
Sad and Useless
This dad came VERY unprepared. He is still in his suit from work, goddammit! He expected a nice relaxed concert but NO instead he is surrounded by hysterical children, including his own. His face really does say it all, GET ME OUT OF HERE!
5.) This is YOUR fault
Sad and Useless
The look of utter contempt and betrayal on this dad’s face is just too much. He looks like he is accusing his daughter of something, maybe she lied and told him it was classical music. Either way, he is DEFINITELY not happy with his daughter for dragging him to a boyband concert…
6.) Can you help me?
Sad and Useless
This dad is looking at the camera so forlornly that I actually want to give him a hug. It’s as if he wants the photographer to offer him an escape plan, surely, he isn’t expected to stand through a night of this HELL?!
7.) The floor is my friend
Sad and Useless
This dad doesn’t even know where his daughters are, he doesn’t care, they’ll find him. He is just going to sit quietly in the corner and read his book until the torturous show is over.
8.) Where am I?
Sad and Useless
This dad looks VERY confused and alarmed as to what is going on. It looks like he has absolutely no idea what a boyband even is let alone why he is surrounded by screaming teens. He looks completely shell-shocked and I think he is going to need a debriefing after this.
9.) Just zone out and think of something else
Sad and Useless
If you waved your hand in front of this dad’s face, he wouldn’t even blink. He has just completely zoned out and gone to his happy place. Hopefully, he can stay there for the duration of the concert.
10.) What have I done?
Sad and Useless
This dad looks like he is rethinking his life choices as he sits down in despair. Why is he even here anyway? He should NEVER have agreed. He only has himself to blame unfortunately, I think the look on his face says he knows that already.
11.) Hello darkness my old friend
Sad and Useless
Just how this dad is towering over the entire crowd says it all, he is surrounded by screaming children. The ironic part is that he probably has the best view out of everyone and he really REALLY doesn’t want to see a teenage boyband singing about love. His expression tells me one thing, he is dead inside.
12.) Do I really love my daughter this much?
Sad and Useless
This dad looks like he is contemplating the idea of doing a runner. Quick, there is still time, the concert hasn’t started yet, you can avoid most of the hysterical screaming if you leave now!
13.) It’s lonely out here
Sad and Useless
This dad has given up entirely and has resorted to just sitting outside in the corridor until the storm of hormones blows over. At least he is safe out there, he is one of the lucky ones.
14.) Please, make it stop!
Imgur
This dad would 100% give $100 to ANYONE willing to cut the speaker cords or pull the fire alarm, just so he can make the pain end. It’s okay, you CAN make it through this.
15.) I’m outnumbered
Imgur
This dad is slowly coming to the realization that there is absolutely NO ONE there that he can sympathise with. Everyone is a screaming girl and he is the only one that is hated every second. He’s only got himself for company.
16.) Someone get this man a beer!
Imgur
I have never seen a face that sums up the term ‘fed-up’ quite as perfectly as this guy does. He looks like he has given up on life, his hopes, his dreams and his happiness. The second he agreed to take his daughter to see her favourite boyband is the second that he sealed his fate.
17.) Don’t speak to me
Imgur
This dad looks like he is on the verge of completely freaking out on someone. He looks like if you tapped him on the shoulder he would just start SCREAMING. Someone get that poor guy out of there, NOW!
18.) How much longer?
Imgur
This is an expression of a man who thought that the concert was over until suddenly the band came back on stage for an encore. He was so close to freedom and yet so far. Why does life have to be so cruel?
19.) These tickets cost me my life savings
Imgur
This dad looks like he is calculating just how much money he spent to buy his daughter these tickets and whether he regrets it. Hey, anything is worth making your daughter happy? Right? RIGHT?!
20.) If I wear these, no one can see that my eyes are closed
Imgur
This dad knew that his daughter would be offended if he closed his eyes and went to his happy place for the ENTIRE concert. So, he decided that sunglasses were his best option. No one will ever know the truth.
Let us spare a minute of silence for these poor dads who sacrificed both their sanity and happiness in order to attend a boyband concert with their daughter and make her dreams come true. It truly is amazing how much we are willing to endure for those we love…
